2016-2017 Scholarship Program
“Today's Students, Tomorrow’s Leaders”

The purpose of the Moreno Valley Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MVHCC) Scholarship program is to assist and encourage Hispanic high school students to seek educational opportunities beyond high school graduation. To achieve this goal, the MVHCC has established a scholarship fund and to date we have awarded approximately $8,000.00 in scholarships to worthy students who have demonstrated commitment to furthering their education.

The MVHCC invites Moreno Valley College Students to apply for the 2016-2017 scholarship..

This year the MVHCC will be awarding one (1) scholarships to a Moreno Valley College student in the amount of $500 upon recommendation from the scholarship committee. Scholarship check will be available to the student once Mr. Quintero receives a copy of an appropriate proof of registration.

TIMELINE

March 17, 2017
FINAL DEADLINE to submit applications to the MVHCC scholarship committee.

March 20, 2017
Scholarship committee will review applications and disqualify those who did not follow the instructions.
Applicants may be contacted for additional information.

March 20-24, 2017
The scholarship committee will review each application and determine recipients.

March 27, 2017
The scholarship committee will recommend
scholarship recipients to the MVHCC Board through e-mail.

April, 2017
Scholarship committee will notify scholarship recipient.


April 20, 2017
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at an MVHCC mixer.

May, 2017
Scholarship checks available to recipients.
